POWDER BROWS

Powder Brows is amazing! This treatment is becoming more and more popular as many clients have patch loss and this is the perfect solution for this. It is a treatment that is perfect for almost every skin type , age and skin color. PowderBrows will create a stunning looking eye brow . It is ideal for creating definition and structure to the eyebrows , the type that is normally created from drawing on the brow everyday, however the beauty of this treatment is that it still avoids the tattooed block look that can often be unnatural . Powdered brow is a very versatile procedure and can be applied anywhere on the brow to achieve your required look. It’s also great for covering scars. PowderBrow can also create the Ombre ( lighter to darker) effect for example natural and lighter at the front and then stronger / darker at the base and tail of the eyebrow. All eyebrows will appear darker on initial completion , however once healed will soften and lighten to its desired color. The fading during the healing phase will be about 30 – 40 % The procedure takes around 2 hours depending on the condition of your eyebrows . As it is a semi permanent procedure the pigment will remain in your skin for around 2 – 4 years depending on your skin type , however we do recommend an annual color boost. We will always explain and identify everything carefully when doing the pre drawings and will advise what will be the most suitable for you.

  • 4-6 week touch up
  • Color Boost 6-18 months
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

PowderBrows will last as long as they are maintained. These treatments are considered semi-permanent and will not wash off, but over time will fade. Untouched, the ink will last anywhere from 1 to 3 years. The frequency of touch-ups needed depends on a few variables including but not limited to; iron deficiency (pigment is an iron oxide base and body will absorb this much quicker if iron deficient), lightness of pigment used (lighter colors tend to fade quicker), sun exposure (the more sun exposure on the treated area will not only make it fade quicker but can also alter the color), treatments (chemical peels, lasers, topical Retinols or anti-aging products will make the pigment fade quicker). Touch ups final results CAN NOT be guaranteed, everyone is unique and heals differently. We will work with you and reassess your brows to get your desired results. The touch up allows us to evaluate how your skin is accepting the pigment and we will make any necessary adjustments then.

WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME?

There is no downtime, however, the brow will take about 14 days to  heal. The brow will soften in color by up to 40-50%. During this period, after-care procedures should be carefully followed.

WHAT IS A TOUCH-UP SESSION?

The Touch-up session, done approximately at four to six weeks of the initial treatment, is extremely important to ensure best results. We use this session to set the shape and color, and make any small adjustments if needed. Touch up sessions are usually needed, the pigment looks dramatically lighter after the first week and the second treatment is used to make sure you are holding onto the pigment as well as we are needing it to. Changes like thickness, density and darkness are addressed at the touch-up.

CAN I RECEIVE TREATMENT WHILE PREGNANT?

As a precaution, we do not perform services on pregnant women.

IS IT PAINFUL?

Most of clients report little to no pain. However, we cannot guarantee that it will be the most pleasant experience and it may hurt a little for sure. The good news is that we will apply a numbing cream 30 minutes prior to treatment and chances are that you will feel little to no pain.

AFTER CARE

The day of the treatment: Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every hour for the full day until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.
Days 1-7: Moisturize Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.
